The Bridge International

The Bridge International is a North Carolina nonprofit dedicated to bridging gaps in services for people who have experienced human trafficking.

Founded in 2020 by Kathy, the organization works through outreach, direct services, and community awareness, partnering with other nonprofits and referral partners so that each client receives holistic, comprehensive case management. Kathy brings more than twelve years in the anti-trafficking movement to the work — case management, outreach, and the rest — and that experience is where the organization's focus comes from: she has seen exactly where survivors fall through.

Right now much of that work is outreach to vulnerable populations, including migrant farmworkers across North Carolina, distributing essential resources and trafficking awareness materials. Case management is available to all demographics and age groups.

The longer aim is to close the service gaps themselves. The most pressing of those is housing — the single hardest thing to find for a survivor trying to rebuild, and the gap The Bridge International is working toward filling.
